Vandaag vertel ik jullie iets over het fantastische boek: Bolle Buiken, Baren en Baby’s geschreven door poldervroedvrouw Marianne Wigbers
Fantastisch boek! Echt heel leuk. Ik las het toen ik acht weken zwanger was van ons tweede miskraam kindje. Ik heb het elk moment dat ik kon gelezen en het was binnen 3 dagen uit. Soms kon ik me niet helemaal de setting voorstellen, omdat het wellicht soms wat snel ging voor mijn zwangere hersenen. Maar buiten dat verslond ik dit boek! Met heel veel humor geschreven, passie voor alles wat zwanger is en bevalt. Daarnaast een paar mooie oeroud sterke verhalen over borstvoeding, vier kinderen en ‘stevig’ bevallen.
Het kan misschien wat afschrikken als je voor het eerst zwanger bent om zoveel bevallingsverhalen te lezen. Misschien zou je er mee willen wachten tot je 7e maand ( toen was ik de eerste keer pas klaar voor het ‘oke, nu gaan we straks ook het kindje eruit bevallen’). Maar voor mij persoonlijk was er vooral veel herkenning, verwondering, bewondering en wederom een besef dat alles door de natuur precies zo geregeld wordt als het geregeld moet worden. Ik vind in ieder geval Marianne bij deze een top mens en een top vroedvrouw. En heb bovendien veel bewondering voor haar.
En toevallig ( toeval bestaat natuurlijk niet 😉 ) heb ik dit boek precies op het juiste moment gelezen. Een opmerking van een vrouw die een boerderij runt en haar kindje verloor tijdens de bevalling heeft mij enorm geholpen om ons eigen prille verlies te relativeren en er op een passende manier afscheid van te nemen. Ze zei namelijk ten tijde dat Marianne een gesprek met haar had en te kennen gaf toch nog ergens een gevoel te hebben van, had ik niet dan misschien.. , zoiets als het volgende: “Ik werk elke dag met de natuur en de natuur is ondoorgrond baar.” En dat diezelfde natuur altijd doet wat het moet doen en dat wij daar nooit iets aan kunnen veranderen. Zaadjes ontkiemen, maar bij precies dezelfde handelingen ook niet. En zo is het ook in het leven. (zie foto voor de daadwerkelijke tekst. Ongeveer het zelfde maar niet heus…. hihi de strekking is in ieder geval wel hetzelfde)
Dan klink dit boek nu misschien wat zwaarmoedig. Maar ik ervaarde het helemaal niet zo. Ik vind het een heel krachtig en heel mooi boek. De boventoon van dit boek is vooral humor, fris en…. vaart! Er staan ook interessante gedachten over borstvoeding in.
In mijn ogen dus een dikke aanrader! Ook als je niet zwanger bent 😉
