5 natuurlijke tips voor zonnebrand

Natuurlijk is het nog niet veel soeps met de zon hier. Hoewel we een aantal prachtige dagen hebben gehad. Het is begin juni en het zonnetje laat zich nog maar mondjes maat zien. Toch zijn er betere tijden voorspeld en ik ging eens op onderzoek uit: Hoe kun je jouw kind(eren) bet beste beschermen tegen de zon? Wat is een goed natuurlijk alternatief voor zonnebrand?zonnebrand

Gelukkig is er genoeg te vinden op internet! Ik las ergens in een Facebook groep waar ik lid ben over kokosolie als bescherming tegen de zon. Grappig! Dacht ik. Dat ga ik even uitzoeken. Ik kwam de volgende natuurlijke tips tegen waaronder ook kokosolie. Ik heb de belangrijkste tips even op een rijtje gezet. Ik ga in ieder geval zelf deze tips zeker uitproberen. Hoewel wij nu druivenpit extract supplementen gebruiken waar ook van gezegd wordt dat je cellen goed beschermd worden en regelmatig vernieuwd, wil ik voor de zekerheid toch wel gaan smeren. Vooral de kinderen..

zonnebrandVitamine D

Allereerst wordt er door meerdere mensen gezegd dat Vitamine D met de ‘gewone’ zonnebrand die te koop is in de winkel niet (goed) tot je huid door kan dringen! Nogal logisch dus, dat iedereen een groot vitamine D te kort heeft denk ik dan… ( Onlangs heb ik trouwens ook een artikel gelezen over hoe goed vitamine D voor onze spieren en dat in een onderzoek onder atleten uitgemeten. Heel interessant resultaat. Komt de volgende keer.. :-)
Waar het door zou komen, is dat er veel stoffen en ‘spullen’ in de zonnebrand zit die 1. niet goed voor je zijn zoals: Parabenen, Benzofenon of oxybenzone, Minerale olie en Retinyl palmitaat. Sommige zelfs kankerverwekkend. En 2. Er dus ook voor zorgen dat jou huid de Vitamine D uit de zon niet goed meer op kunnen nemen. Dat laat mij persoonlijk toch een tweede keer nadenken over wat ik nou eigenlijk op de huid van mijn kinderen wil smeren… ( wil je meer weten over de stoffen en wat ze doen dan kun je dat lezen op floraa.nl in dit artikel)

Wat dan wel?

Olie:

Bijv. weer kokosolie. Echt leuk wat ik over dit goedje te weten kom! Je kan er zoveel mee. Ook kun je dus je huid ermee insmeren als natuurlijke zonnebrand. Let op: het heeft niet een enorm hoge factor gemiddeld wat ik lees: factor 2 -10 best groot verschil eigenlijk. Dus ik denk ook dat het verschilt per kwaliteit of zo. Ik zou dit denk ik eerder voor mijzelf gebruiken dan voor mijn kinderen. Maar je hebt ook Tarwekiem olie (factor 20) of wortelzaad olie ( factor 38 – 40 ) die laatste schijn enorm te stinken haha. De dame van floraa.nl heeft er zelf een mengsel gemaakt van oliën die samen goed werken ( naar haar eigen zegge ) en ook nog lekker genoeg ruikt.

Minerale zonnebrand crèmes:

Ik geloof dat de ene natuurlijke zonnebrand beter is dan de andere.. Maar dat je redelijk goed zit met minerale zonnebrand crèmes. Deze crèmes bevatten zinc oxide en/of titanium dioxide. Zoals ik al vertelde nemen wij dagelijks supplementen met druivenpit extracten. Het zou de cellen moeten beschermen en ze ook snel vernieuwen. Hierdoor zou je redelijk goed beschermd zijn, mits je natuurlijk niet op het heetste van de dag gaat liggen bakken. Maar het schijnt dat dat sowieso niet echt verstandig is.. Ik moet zeggen dat ik mij er goed bij voel alhoewel ik eigenlijk nooit snel verbrand. Wel heb ik minder zonnebrand gebruikt op vakantie dan voorheen. En ben ik dus niet heviger verbrand of zoiets. Het is gewoon heel persoonlijk en wij voelen ons er goed bij. Maar zoals ik al eerder zei: ik blijf graag mijzelf en de kinderen smeren als het super heet is en we besluiten de zon in te gaan.

Niet in de felle zon:

Tussen 12.00 en 15.00 niet in de (felle) zon zitten of spelen. Dus onder een parasol, boom met een hoedje of pet op. Of gewoon lekker siësta houden.. Als het kan, is dat een sterk advies heb ik gelezen.

Ja, ik vind ze echt vreselijk. Maar tja, als je dan toch met je kinderen lekker op het strand wil spelen en je wil je kindje beschermen tegen de zon? Dan schijnen die wetsuits een goede uitkomst te zijn.. Ik vind ze echt vreselijk. Sorry. En ik ben blij dat mijn kinderen allebei getint zijn en ik daardoor in de illusie ben dat de zon voor hen minder schadelijk is.. haha. Anyway je ziet ze steeds meer en steeds leuker. Ik zag ze laatst ook bij Hema voorbij komen.

Zo dat waren mijn natuurlijke tips om te hanteren i.p.v. van het smeren van de ‘gewone’ zonnebrand. Zoals je kunt lezen ben ik zelf nog in dubio en weet ik niet wat het beste bij ons past. Ik ga zeker die olie uit proberen en anders de minerale zonnebrand crème. Ook ga ik goed in de gaten houden wanneer we in de zon zullen zijn. En een parasol boven het opblaas zwembad vind ik gewoon ook een heel goed idee! Oh ja, en ik heb nu een goed excuus om wel die grote strohoed op te zetten die ik in Miami had gekocht.. :-)
